Maslow said something about bagels I think

This week I cleaned my room, bought two weeks worth of bagels, adopted an ingenious three-tier beer-buying plan (this week's extra-special beer was Rogue Juniper Pale Ale, a.k.a. Everything Tastes Like Gin Now), watched the ATHF movie, replaced all my socks with two dozen identical pairs...

I know this is just the clean room talking, but I feel like I'm getting it all figured out. Did I mention that I get to work overtime tomorrow for the first time ever?

Because: ka-ching.

This Friday was our bi-weekly coworker outing, and since we work with the owner, we headed over to Senor Wong. Good times. And I really like that place: it's hip, relaxed, and classy — probably the closest thing we have to the Kitty Cat Klub here in St. Paul.

Now that Girls' Night has been moved to Monday, I'm in the odd position of having my weekends bookended by my fun social nights. (There's a pre-show Happy Hour at the Glockenspiel tomorrow! Exciting!)

I'm sure I'll get sick of this schedule eventually, but right now I like that I can just decompress on Saturday and Sunday. So far today I've read some Stephen Baxter and played through an especially ridiculous portion of Lost Odyssey.

Something to add to your busy social calendar: Canasta, my favorite Chicago band, is playing in Minneapolis on Wednesday at a place called the Uptown Bar. See if you can convince them to do their cover of Kraftwerk's The Model.

Also, their keyboardist is a copy editor.
