So I spent about two hours in my car today on the ride home from St. Paul. I think my longest-ever commute from the Hague [apartment] was fifteen minutes?
Anyways, this was really frustrating. I've already come up with a half-dozen reasons to stay in town through rush hour tomorrow.
Repeal Day being one of them: I'd love for this would-be holiday to become well-known enough that people don't have to hear about it from some liquor company's ad campaign. Right now, however, all I smell is astroturf. Dewar's is the new Coca-Cola!
Maybe it's because I've started drinking caffeine in the morning again, but so far this week has seemed hectic, scattershot. I've been doing a lot of stuff, but it doesn't feel like I've completed anything.
Losing a big chunk of my leisure time to traffic didn't help matters... I'll have to come up with a contingency plan or two for the next snowfall.
