Exciting: today was the start of five or six months of frisbee golf weather. Dylan and I and a hundred other people went to Acorn today after work to start the season.
As a kickoff, today was inauspicious. It was so slow that near the end we were subsumed by a conglomeration of several other groups, and since I wasn't keen on the idea of playing through the rest of the course with six strangers, we only ended up playing eight holes.
Likewise, we started the first hole from the women's tee, because it's a tricky throw straight and low over a large pond, and it is not quite wading weather. All the logic in the world, however, will not undo the damage to our manhood.
Not that I really care about any of the symbolism. Today was fun, the weather was great, and we both had some good throws. This is all I want from frisbee golf.
(Also, on the seventh hole, I outhrew a bunch of people who were taking the game much more seriously, and that's always satisfying.)
