I confess: I can't conceal my excitment now that Bush has nominated Harriet Miers for Supreme Court justice.
I'm a little annoyed that my guy (or in this case, girl) wasn't his pick, so maybe mere schadenfreude explains my interest. Personally, I hope not; I tend to find schadenfreude in politics (especially from the Left, now that I mention it) incredibly irritating.
No, I don't think I have a monkey in this fight. I just love the drama of a good political struggle. And the irony that this, of all things, would be what unites the country.
